[DFSci] New SWGDE Drafts Posted for Public Comment

The Scientific Working Group on Digital Evidence (SWGDE) is 
pleased to announce posting of the following nine new draft 
documents for public review and comment at:

   Committee)
2. SWGDE Recommendations for Cell Site Analysis, version 1 
   (Forensics Committee)
3. SWGDE Best Practices for Maintaining the Integrity of Imagery,
   version 1 (Imaging Committee)
4. SWGDE Best Practices for Photographic Comparison for All 
   Disciplines, version 1.1 (Imaging Committee)
5. SWGDE Guidelines for the Testing and Capture of Latent 
   Impressions Using a Camera or Scanner, version 1 (Photography 
   Committee)
6. SWGDE Framework of a Quality Management System for Digital and
   Multimedia Evidence Forensic Science Service Providers 
   (DME-FSSPs), version 1 (Quality Standards Committee)
7. SWGDE Best Practices for Data Retrieval from Video Security 
   Recording Systems , version 1 (Video Committee)
8. SWGDE Technical Notes on FFmpeg, version 1 (Video Committee)
9. SWGDE Technical Overview of Digital Video Files, version 1 
   (Video Committee)

In accordance with SWGDE policy, draft documents will be posted 
for a minimum of 60 days for public comment.  Every document 
listed on the SWGDE website has a "View/Add Comments" link below 
it that opens an online comment form for that document.  Comments
are also still accepted via email to our Secretary (at 
secretary at swgde.org) as per the instructions on the first page of
each draft document.  All feedback received prior to our next 
meeting in June 2017 will be reviewed by the appropriate 
subcommittee at that meeting.

At the conclusion of our recent meeting, SWGDE voted to release 
the following as Approved documents. They are available for 
download on the Current Documents page of the website:
