Hi Jon,

Microsoft has launched a new Law Enforcement Only Portal for process submission and data package retrieval. You can access & sign up for this portal by visiting https://leportal.microsoft.com.

As part of this move to online submission, Microsoft is decommissioning their Fax machine. As of July 1st, 2019, Microsoft will no longer accept process via Facsimile. You may still submit legal process via email to uslereq at microsoft.com<mailto:uslereq at microsoft.com> for an interim period before the Microsoft Portal becomes the exclusive mechanism through which to submit a law enforcement request.

If this is non-LE request I would contact the online Microsoft custodian of records # at 425-722-1299 for advice on how to proceed with a non-LE subpoena process.

Hope this helps!
-Josh

Can someone please provide the contact information for Microsoft/Hotmail that we can send a subpoena to for IP address access logs for a civil case? I know the last 30 days of info is available to a user directly online but I assume they have data that goes back further than that….

Thanks,
Jon
