Research Assistant or UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1, UCD School of Computer Science
Applications are invited for a Research Assistant or Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 in the UCD School of Computer Science. This is a temporary post.

This position is associated with EU ASGARD project, which is developing a best of class tool set for the extraction, fusion, exchange and analysis of large amounts of heterogeneous data for forensic investigation including structured (databases), unstructured (multilingual text, multimedia), semi-structured (HTML, XML, etc.) heterogeneous data collected by Law Enforcement Agencies during criminal investigation and from open sources. 
It includes traditional computer-based evidence as well as Video, Audio, GSM and GPS data, and other forms of digital information. ASGARD will help European law enforcement to significantly increase capabilities in combating transnational, digitally-enabled crime.

Salary: RA €21,674 - €34,269 per annum; PD1 €36,854 per annum.
Appointment on the above range will be dependent on qualifications and experience

This position may be appointed at either Research Assistant or UCD Post-Doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 depending on the relevant qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
