All,
The DFRWS 2009 Challenge has been posted on the DFRWS website, and
this year it focuses on the development of tools and techniques for
analyzing the Sony Playstation 3 (PS3). The challenge scenario
requires analysis of a physical memory dump, file system images, and
network traces involving 2 PS3's and a Playstation Portable (PSP).
The Digital Forensic Research Workshop 2009 challenge has been
posted at:
http://www.dfrws.org/2009/challenge/index.shtml
Additionally, early registration is now open and will end on June 15.
Save $75 by registering early for only $500. The conference will be
in Montreal, Quebec, Canada this year, our first outside the U.S.
You can register for the DFRWS at the following URL:
http://www.dfrws.org/2009/register.shtml
There are still some Sponsorship opportunities available as well.
Sponsors of the conference will gain visibility for their companies,
demonstrate their support of forensic research and development, and
contribute to the success of the conference. All sponsors will have
their logo listed on the DFRWS 2009 website with a link to their website
and will be listed in the printed proceedings. They will also get
recognition at specific events that they sponsor. You can get details
about sponsorship opportunities at:
http://www.dfrws.org/2009/sponsorship.shtml
There is a flyer about this year's DFRWS conference available for
download (which you can share) at the following URL:
